Meet Ellen Brabo

As a U.S. Army Veteran, a successful business owner, and an active community member, I am passionate about making a difference. I believe that every voice matters, and together, we can create a brighter future.

Ellen Brabo's Vision

My vision is a thriving Washington, where diverse voices shape progress and collaboration drives innovation. I'm dedicated to fostering a sustainable economy, empowering local businesses, and creating a welcoming community that harmonizes tradition with modernity.

Ellen Brabo holds a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York: Brockport. She is a Board Member for the Washington Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce and Chair of the Beaufort County Young Professionals. Ellen relocated to Washington, NC from Arlington, VA seeking a community to establish roots after transitioning out of the U.S. Army. In June 2022, she opened The Ell Hotel, a boutique hotel and event venue located on North Market Street in Washington.

Ellen is an avid runner with the Pitt Street Brewing Company - On The Pamlico running club and she enjoys kayaking on the Pamlico River. In addition to her local involvement, she is an advocate for Stop Soldier Suicide and a member of the Pentagon Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
